Transfer between the terminals at IAH Airport

After their arrivals at Bush Airport, travelers can use the following means of transportation between the terminal stations:

  • Skyway is an elevated train that links all IAH terminals. The transportation allows travelers with connecting flights to move between the airport’s terminals without the necessity to re-enter security. The transport is free of charge and is available to passengers every day. To reach the Skyway Station, head to Level 3 of your Terminal. The trip from the station at Terminal A to Terminal D/E station takes only 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
  • Subway is another transportation option that passengers may use to transfer between the terminals upon the IAH Airport arrivals. It is the underground train service linking all terminals at the airport with the hotel. The Subway – or Landside Connection – offers transfer between the terminals from the pre-security zones. The transport provides departures from the Airport Hotel Marriott and Terminals A, B, C, and D/E. The transfer is available between 3:30 am and 12:30 am. Keep in mind that the service is not available from 12:30 am and 3:30 am. Find the Subway Station in the LL Level in all terminals.

Houston Airport immigration procedures

IAH passengers reach gates in either the D or E terminal upon their Houston International Airport arrivals. Then, they get through the secure corridors and sky bridges to the Federal Inspection Services (FIS). There, travelers will proceed with Immigration and Passport Control, clear customs, and collect their baggage. The possibilities of immigration procedures at IAH include processing via the immigration officer or the Global Entry Trusted Traveler Network Program kiosk.

Upon IAH Airport arrivals at the customs exit control, passengers will need to present one of the two documents. First, if processed via an immigration officer, you will have to prepare the customs declaration form. Also, all international in-transit passengers are subject to inspection at the TSA security checkpoint. The TSA screening takes place before entering the security area of the passengers’ departing terminal.

  • If you have lost your passport, U.S. Customs and Border Protection keeps it for five business days. Therefore, to receive your lost passport back, call IAH CBP at 1-281-230-4672.

Currency and financial services at Houston Airport

The currency exchange kiosks are available to IAH customers in B, C, D, and E terminals upon arrival at Houston Airport. Keep in mind that certain fees and exchange rates apply according to the customer’s bank policy. The currency exchange ATMs operate in Level 2 all terminals.
